Gallery Administrator- Part Time
Job Description
Reports to: Executive Director
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Schedule and rate: Part-time, approximately 21 hours per week –
primarily Thursday and Friday with remaining hours incorporated into a variable schedule, including possible evenings and occasional weekends. Range is $22 to $26/hour based on experience and qualifications.
Position Summary
The Gallery Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operational running and support of the Zullo Gallery. This role ensures that exhibitions, classes, events, and community activities run smoothly and that the Gallery is adequately staffed during open hours. The Gallery Administrator works closely with volunteers, artists, and instructors, and sub-committees of the Board according to priorities set by the Executive Director.
Key Responsibilities
Gallery Operations & Staffing
- Staff the Gallery during open hours and ensure coverage for exhibitions, classes, events, and “Thursdays on the Deck.”
- Recruit, train, schedule, and coordinate volunteers.
- Serve as an on-site representative of the Gallery during programs and events as needed.
Exhibitions, Classes & Events Support
- Coordinate logistics for exhibitions, including artist communications, installation and deinstallation support, receptions, and sales processes.
- Support the administration and logistics of classes, workshops, and cultural events.
- Maintaining a clean facility - Assist with event setup breakdown, clean up and on-site coordination.
Database & Communications Management
- Maintain and update databases of donors, members, supporters, artists, students, instructors, and mailing lists.
- Ensure accurate records for communications, fundraising, and reporting purposes.
Marketing & Promotion
- Execute marketing strategies to promote exhibitions, classes, and events across email, website, and social media platforms.
- Coordinate production and distribution of promotional materials.
- Ensure the Gallery’s website content is accurate, current, and timely.
Technology & Systems Support
- Oversee day-to-day support of the Gallery’s technology, including databases, email platforms, ticketing or registration tools, and basic IT coordination.
- Identify operational or technical improvements to increase efficiency.
- Collaborate with sub-committees of the Board (particularly on programming and marketing) as it pertains to the utilization of technology.
Administrative Support
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the Executive Director as needed.
- Assist with scheduling, reporting, vendor coordination, and other operational tasks.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills; ability to manage shifting priorities.
- Experience with volunteer coordination, event support, and administrative systems.
- Comfort with databases, email marketing tools, websites, and basic technology troubleshooting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Interest in the arts and community engagement.
Live Sound-Audio Engineer
Job Description

This is a non-exempt, contract position compensated per event worked..
Position Summary
The Audio Engineer supports live performance events at the Zullo to maximize the positive experience of performers and patrons. The ability to work as part of a team is critical for this position. This position is gig-based, paid per event worked.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs the Load-in / Load-out of band equipment and rental equipment
- Setup and breakdown of band/artist equipment for event
- Cabling and patching / working together with the artist and road crew as a team
- Audio adjustments, maintaining safe audio levels as defined by the venue
- Responsible for protection, maintenance and repair of audio equipment
- Assist with the event throughout the House as needed
- Assist the Program Director with the technical advance with Artists representatives
- Ensure proper care and handling of all Zullo and rental audio equipment
- Oversee and operate systems pertaining to audio throughout the entire venue
- Work in an environment with moderate to loud noise level
Qualifications
- Excellent ears and musical sensibility
- Extensive experience in mixing audio for live music performances
- Professional-level mastery of acoustics, audio consoles, and signal-processing hardware
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Ability to present a professional appearance
- Must work well under pressure and be even-tempered
- Availability to work evenings with maximum availability.
